A first mission composed of international experts from the French association ECTI and UNIDO representatives visited Niger from 8 to 14 August. The objective was to assess the processes of three companies in Niamey and to propose a catalogue of savings measures. This mission corresponds to steps 1.6 and 1.7 of the TEST methodology.A team of industrialists from Mali also joined the mission in order to benefit from the presence of international experts in the region and to exchange with Niger industries on their practices. Therefore, the teams from the Sabalibougou Abattoir Frigorifique had the chance to visit the Niamey Abattoir and to meet the management team.All the ECTI experts underlined the commitment of the companies of the basin and in particular of their TEST teams in the implementation of this project.At the ONUDI, we particularly appreciated the relationship of trust established between our national experts and the industries involved in the project.
