OUR PRIORITY

To reduce wastewater discharges and pollution loads in the Niger River Basin through a systematic and integrated approach in partnership with the private industrial sector.

MISSION

The overall objective of this UNDP-UNEP-GEF project is to support the concept of integrated water resources management (IWRM) for the benefit of communities and ecosystem resilience.

TEST Methodology

Toolbox

The TEST methodology is based on the adoption and transfer of environmental technologies. The steps for implementing the TEST methodology in the pilot companies follow the learning cycle, also known as the Deming scheme in accordance with ISO standards (plan – do – check – act)

OUR FOUR PILLARS

The optimal deployment of the TEST NIGER programme is based on four pillars guaranteeing the efficiency of the process.

Signing of an NDA

This agreement guarantees companies the legal protection of their intellectual property (patents, manufacturing blueprints, unique industrial technologies, etc.) and the security of economic, financial and IT data as well as their use for the exclusive purposes of the project.

Transparency

Capacity Building

UNIDO trains and builds the capacity of in-house staff, including production staff.

Technology Transfer

UNIDO provides beneficiary companies with a toolkit for the optimization of financial management and organizational processes. Information systems, costs management, resource and waste management, and product life cycle.

How The Test Methodology Works

The TEST approach uses traditional “single improvement” or “audit” approaches to support the green transition of industries.
