Agnès Chanut is an engineer by profession (École Nationale Supérieure de Géologie de Nancy, France and École Nationale du Génie Rural, des Eaux et des Forêts de Montpellier, France). She began her international career in 2000, in Mauritius and Morocco, where she worked on issues related to hydrogeology and urban hydraulics. In 2003, she joined the French branch of Safege, a Suez group company, working on river and rainwater projects, both in design and project management.
After a short period in Madagascar, where she used her expertise in village water projects, she completed her training with a Master’s degree in International Relations and Environment at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Austria, between 2014 and 2016. She then worked as a sanitation and stormwater expert in various projects financed by international donors in Morocco, Lebanon and Sierra Leone, either as an independent expert or within the Austrian company HYDROPHIL.
She joined UNIDO in 2020 to work on the TEST Niger project as project coordinator.

Sidy Ba holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Sherbrooke, Canada and a Master’s degree in environmental engineering from Montana State University in Bozeman, USA. He did his basic training in civil/hydraulic engineering at the National Engineering School (ENI-ABT) in Bamako and a specialization in water resources mobilization at the International Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
From his teaching and research experiences in Canada, Sultanate of Oman, Senegal and Mali, Sidy Ba authored numerous scientific publications in international journals, of the book entitled “Le péril de la pollution sur le Fleuve Niger” and a patent for technological innovation on slow sand filtration. He is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec, Canada with a high confidence index. A founding member of the African Membrane Society and other scientific organizations, Sidy Ba is a contributor to several international scientific journals in the field of water and environment.
Since December 2018, Sidy Ba has been working for UNIDO as an international expert in pollution hotspot analysis and environmentally sound technology transfer (EST) in the Niger Basin within the framework of the NB-ITTAS project. Mamoudou Issoufou holds a MSc ʺMaster of Engineering in Environmental Sciencesʺ from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. In the field of Scientific research, Mr Issoufou is author of two publications related to the diagnosis and analysis of pollution in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is also an active member of the Journal ʺScience of the Total Environmentʺ as a ʺreviewerʺ. Mr Issoufou is a specialist in Water and Sanitation having graduated as an engineer in Environmental Engineering; option Water and Sanitation at the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development of the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Ayman El-Zahaby has been a UNIDO technical expert since 2014, specializing in the circular economy, resource efficiency and energy efficiency for industry, with a focus on the textile, food and beverage, cement and chemical sectors.
Ayman has a strong background in technical assistance programmes for industry. He is currently the regional coordinator for UNIDO’s MEDTEST III programme in Egypt and Jordan. Ayman also setves as an international TEST expert for a UNIDO project covering the Niger River Basin countries.
Throughout his career, he has assisted over 50 companies in implementing and evaluating the environmental and economic benefits of sustainable energy and resource efficiency projects. Specifically on TEST, he is responsible for training and coaching 10 consultants from Jordan, as well as 9 consultants from the Niger River Basin countries to develop their skills to deliver TEST on a commercial basis. Since 2018, he has delivered TEST training to over 200 consultants from different countries including Austria, Egypt, Jordan and Palestine. Ayman is an engineering graduate with a major in mechanical energy from Cairo University in 2004. He obtained his Master’s degree in 2012 with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from the American University in Cairo.

Christian Susan holds an MSc in Water Resources Management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and an MSc in Applied Environmental Economics from Imperial College London.
In line with UNIDO’s mandate to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) and the circular economy, Christian’s main task at UNIDO is to develop and implement programmes and projects for cleaner and resource efficient production and for the decoupling of industrial growth from adverse environmental and social impacts.
Christian is the programme manager for the SECO-funded Global Eco Industrial Park programme and for the SECO-funded RECP Indonesia programme. In addition, Christian manages a GEF-funded project to promote the transfer of environmentally sound technologies to the Niger Basin countries, a Norwegian-funded project in Sudan to build institutional capacity for the transition from artisanal to semi-industrial fisheries, and a GEF-funded project to promote the systematic integration of economic valuation of ecosystem services into the GEF transboundary diagnostic analysis and strategic action programme (TD/SAP) methodology.

Ahmed Oumarou is a forestry engineer and a specialist in environmental management (DESS in Public Environmental Management and DESS in Environmental Monitoring). He has been working in the Nigerien administration for 15 years. He has held several positions of responsibility at the departmental, regional and national levels, as head of department, project director, central department head and national director.
Since 2011, Ahmed Oumarou has been a consultant in charge of environmental and social issues for the Community Action Programme, funded by the World Bank. He is also a consultant for several studies in the field of environment, climate change and natural resources management.
Mr. Oumarou is the UNIDO Niger national consultant for the implementation of the TEST methodology in the Niger River basin.
Since 2011, Ahmed Oumarou has been a consultant in charge of environmental and social issues for the Community Action Programme, funded by the World Bank. He is also a consultant for several studies in the field of environment, climate change and natural resources management.
Mr. Oumarou is the UNIDO Niger national consultant for the implementation of the TEST methodology in the Niger River basin.

Magloire Gbaguidi is a doctor of science, specializing in analytical and environmental chemistry, and a lecturer at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC). He is a teacher-researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique d’Abomey-Calavi (EPAC) and Head of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering (GC-P).
He has several expertise including analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, water chemistry, ecotoxicology, ESIA, environmental audit and water treatment.
He is also the author and/or co-author of over 20 scientific publications dealing with the pollution of ecosystems (air, water and soil), the depollution of industrial wastewater and the ecotoxicology of fishery resources, terrestrial fauna and flora.
In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Gbaguidi has participated as a principal and/or associate consultant in several national and international consultations. He is currently the Beninese national consultant expert in industrial pollution for UNIDO in the framework of the implementation of component 3 (Transfer of environmentally sound technologies) of the NB-ITTAS project.

Dr. Ngassoum is a native of Cameroon and holds an engineering degree in chemistry from Enspicam Marseille, a Master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Yaoundé and a PhD in petrochemistry from Aix Marseille HDR in physical chemistry and Ensaia Nancy.
A lecturer at the University of Ngaoundere, Dr. Ngassoum was an assistant professor at the University of Aix Marseille, then a lecturer at the ENSAI of the University of Ngaoundéré since 1987.
He was also a member of the expert committee of the PCBs project in Cameroon “PCB reduction in Cameroon through the use of local expertise and development of national capacities” and a member of the expert committee of the global project: Global Monitoring Program (GMP) – member of the African expert group for the Stockholm convention.
Dr. Ngassoum is currently the national consultant of UNIDO for the implementation of the TEST management system.

Dr. Yves Gnagne is an expert in environmental assessment, pollution and sanitation from Côte d’Ivoire.
After obtaining a unique PhD in environmental chemistry in 2017, Dr. Gnagne joined an environmental assessment consultancy in the same year where he specialized in conducting environmental and social impact studies, environmental audits and environmental inspections. A few years later, he joined the Nangui Abrogoua University as a research professor in environmental chemistry and sanitation. He is the author of more than twenty scientific publications in international and national journals. He is the national consultant of the UNIDO TEST project in Côte d’Ivoire.
At the same time, he gives courses on environmental and social impact assessment and environmental legislation to students and professionals in quality, safety and environment (QSE). He is also a part-time teacher at the National Institute for the Training of Health Workers (INFAS) where he gives courses in sanitation and waste management to the professional auditors of the said institution.

Ousmane Koya Kaba is a specialist in pollution in the Niger basin in Guinea. He is the author of numerous scientific works including:

Mrs. Korotoumou Santara Dramé, is an economist by training. She obtained a Master’s degree in Economics with a major in Money – Finance – Banking at the University Mouloud Mammeri of Tizi-Ouzou (Algeria) in 2004 and then took a year of English courses in Accra (Ghana).
After several internships in various private companies, she joined the civil service in 2008 as a standardization officer. Since 2012, Mrs Dramé has been Head of the Competitiveness Division at the National Directorate of Industry.

Mr. Ouedraogo is a native of Burkina Faso and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and a professional degree in Environmental Engineering with the option of Waste Management, Treatment and Valorisation.
Since October 2015, he has been the Director of Partnership and Continuing Education at the Ecole Nationale des Eaux et Forêts.
In parallel to this function, he has been carrying out consultancy missions since September 2016 on projects such as the realization of the Environmental Diagnosis on developable sites, the collection and the analysis of data in order to carry out the Carbon Assessment with a reduction plan of the 29 oil production units and since May 2020 he contributes to the study on Hot Spot pollution and the implementation of the TEST project in the Niger Basin.

Professor Anene Nwabu Moneke is an industrial and environmental microbiologist with a deep interest in sustainable activities that build capacity and protect our environment while creating profitable business enterprises.
He started his professional career in the brewing industry, but later resigned as the Executive Technical Manager of PAL Breweries Limited to pursue his academic career at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and attained the rank of Full Professor of Industrial and Environmental Microbiology in 2011.
He has served the university and the country in various capacities including Department Head. He was a DAAD Research Fellow at the University of Tübingen, Germany and currently holds the position of Director of the UNN-Shell Center for Environmental Management and Control, University of Nigeria (UNN). He is the coordinator of UNN’s collaborations with Chinese universities and research institutions. Prof Moneke is also UNIDO’s national consultant on industrial pollution in Nigeria.

Mahamat Nour Abdallah is a teacher-researcher and head of the Research Master in Geosciences and Reservoirs at the University of N’Djaména-Chad. He conducts his research in the LHGR laboratory mainly on the theme of knowledge of the water resources of the Lake Chad Basin using tools such as: numerical modelling, isotopy, chemistry and spatial analysis.
Mahamat Nour Abdallah is an expert and national consultant of Chad for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in the framework of the implementation of the TEST methodology in the Niger River basin.
He holds a Master Assistant CAMES (African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education) (2020), PhD from the University of Aix Marseille and Centre Européen de Recherche et d’Enseignement des Géosciences de l’Environnement (CEREGE) (2019) in France, Master Recherche /Pro in Management of Aquatic Environments (Hydrogeology) from the University of Aix Marseille (2015), Master Recherche in Management of Water, Soil and Environmental Resources from the University of NGaoundéré in Cameroon.
