Supported by the Global Environment Facility International Waters program, and led by the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Environmental Programme, Project TEST Niger constitutes Component 3 of the larger project titled “Improving Integrated Water Resource Management, knowledge-based management and governance of the Niger Basin and the Iullemeden-Taoudeni/Tanezrouft Aquifer System (NB-ITTAS). Project TEST Niger is executed in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the Niger Basin Authority (NBA), The Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) and UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP).
